Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who has welcomed me with open arms to this wonderful community! I have met many of you over the past few days and I am overwhelmed by the gratitude that you have expressed to me. Please know that I am honored and grateful to have had this incredible opportunity come into my life! I am honored to be here and grateful for the amazing foundation that Linda has built over the past couple of years! And, I thank her for the many hours she has dedicated to training me so that the tradition of love and nurturing at Blackbird will continue. I also want to thank the dedicated teachers and front desk staff who have continued to nurture the studio with their love.
Construction!
I wanted to make some announcements about construction both in the Georgetown area and inside the studio. There is a traffic light being installed at the corner of 107 and 57. It is definitely causing a bit of a back up so please allow a few extra minutes to get to class. It is anticipated that construction will continue through the summer.
In addition, there will be construction inside the studio. The plan is to add a hallway from the front entrance to the bathroom and have the treatment rooms open into the hallway instead of into the studio. This will allow for greater privacy for patients who come in for acupuncture, herbal treatments, and bodywork, and classes will not be interruped by patients and practitioners walking through the studio. I would like to get the reconfiguration done quickly so that we can all enjoy the enhancements to the studio and move forward. In order to complete this work, there will be no regularly scheduled classes from May 21st through the 25th; classes will resume on Saturday, May 26th. I appreciate your patience and understanding during the construction..
Desk Yogi’s Wanted!
On another note, I am looking for people who would like to help out at the front desk. These are volunteer positions in exchange for yoga classes! Please e-mail or call me if you are interested!
Please check our website for construction progress and schedule updates!
Again, I thank you for your warm welcome and for your patience and understanding during the construction. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have.
